Previously a Conservatory Apprentice at Point Park University in Pennsylvania, Mr. Bitner joined Keen Independent in 2015 as a Project Assistant. He has expertise in project support, editing, proofing and report review.
For a State of Indiana disparity study, Mr. Bitner managed in-depth interview write-up review and proofing of report sections. As part of this assignment, he coordinated a team of Keen Independent staff members and provided first review of draft and final qualitative research report sections. Mr. Bitner performed similar tasks for disparity studies for Oregon Department of Transportation and Montana Department of Transportation, including writing and editing in-depth interview reports from audio recordings. He has performed background research and drafted report appendices as part of the Minnesota Joint Disparity Study.
While employed by Point Park University, Mr. Bitner was responsible for coordination of confidential interdepartmental information, curricula editing and proofing, and transcribing aural information. He led community mentor efforts to outreach to incoming and outgoing students and facilitated conflict mediation efforts.
As an honor program graduate from Point Park University in Pennsylvania, Mr. Bitner earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing summa cum laude. Along with his role with Keen Independent, Nick is teaching creative writing to Chinese students.
