Mr. Perez joined Keen Independent as a Research Assistant after working as an Economic Analyst Intern for Rounds Consulting Group in Phoenix. Manuel has experience in data collection and management, statistical analysis and revenue forecasting.
Manuel has also taken part in market studies and public policy impact analyses at the local, regional, state and national levels, spanning a wide range of industries such as transportation, housing, education and health care.
While at Keen Independent, Mr. Perez has assisted with data management and quantitative analyses for a number of disparity studies including for the City of Minneapolis, an expansion of Keen Independent’s 2017 Minnesota Joint Disparity Study.
As part of Keen Independent’s Oregon Department of Aviation (ODA) Statewide Disparity Study, Manuel coordinated data intake from 56 NPIAS airports. He also assisted in conducting marketplace analysis for the study and has worked on similar assignments for the City of Alexandria, Louisiana. For the 2020 State of Colorado Disparity Study, Manuel gathered prime and subcontract data from a number of state agencies as well as through direct outreach to primes and subs. Manuel has worked on utilization analyses for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC).
Mr. Perez has contributed to a myriad of qualitative research tasks at Keen Independent, including business ownership research and interview write-ups for a number of disparity studies. He has conducted telephone interviews for the State of Colorado disparity study and in-person interviews with business owners and representatives for the research branch of Arizona Department of Transportation as part of DBE strategies research.
Mr. Perez graduated magna cum laude from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University. Manuel is fluent in Spanish, and has the privilege of citizenship in the United States and Mexico.
