Ms. Kyritsis joined Keen Independent in 2014 as a Consultant with expertise in higher education, and quality assurance and quality control. Previously, Ms. Kyritsis was a compliance consultant and directed data management for numerous institutions of higher education, including community colleges, colleges, universities and technical schools.
Ms. Kyritsis manages the analysis of anecdotal information and a number of report components for Keen Independent disparity studies and other equity studies nationwide. She also develops contract databases and identifies race, ethnicity and gender ownership of utilized firms as part of these studies. She has experience with nearly 30 disparity studies for state and local agencies throughout the country, including recent studies for the City of Atlanta, City of New Orleans, City of Madison, Wisconsin, and state DOTs in Montana, Oregon and other states.
For the multi-jurisdictional 2017 Minnesota Joint Disparity Study (including the State, MnDOT, the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul and six other entities), Ms. Kyritsis led in-depth interview and public comment analyses with about 2,500 participants. She has also managed teams of subconsultants, as part of these and other disparity study tasks.
Ms. Kyritsis has investigated Title VI and DBE Program complaints filed by DBEs and participated in research on professional development for women in higher education and science curricula in American school districts. She has also interpreted many interviews conducted with university presidents as part of a series of Keen Independent studies on advancing women and women of color in higher education.
Ms. Kyritsis was a Quality Assurance Consultant to the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC, and has experience as a small business owner. She has a Master of Science in Counseling and College Student Development from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from St. John’s University.
