The City of Jefferson Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department engaged Keen Independent to create a Cultural Arts Master Plan to guide the City in enhancing the community’s quality of life through arts and culture.

Keen Independent conducted the following to create a draft Jefferson City Cultural Arts Master Plan:

  • Background research, which includes existing assets and regional styles;
  • Community engagement;
  • Benchmarking of similar cities and communities;
  • Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis; and
  • Economic impact analysis.

Public Presentation of the Draft Jefferson City Cultural Arts Master Plan

Following the public meeting and virtual workshop earlier this year, Keen Independent carefully reviewed community input and relevant plans and documents from the City and produced a draft Jefferson City Cultural Arts Master Plan, which they shared during a Public Meeting on Tuesday, September 12 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at The Linc, 1299 Lafayette St. (President’s Suite). We encouraged residents and community members to attend to provide feedback and ask follow-up questions. For those who were unable to attend the in-person public meeting, feedback on the draft Cultural Arts Master Plan can be submitted by writing to the study email or calling the study hotline, which are listed below.
