On November 17, 2025, Keen Independent and Parker Arts presented an overview of the draft Cultural Strategic Plan to Parker’s Town Council. The plan, developed with extensive community and stakeholder engagement, is nearing completion. Before the plan is finalized, the study team and Parker Arts invite comments and questions. Project Background

The Town of Parker has engaged Keen Independent to create a Cultural Strategic Plan to guide the Town in supporting arts and culture over the next 10 years.

To complete the Cultural Strategic Plan, Keen Independent will conduct:

• In-person and virtual public engagement;
• Mapping and inventory of existing arts and cultural amenities;
• Assessment of the community’s arts and culture needs;
• Consideration of Parker as a cultural destination;
• Benchmarking of communities with similar arts and culture infrastructure; and
• Analysis of Town planning efforts to align arts and culture initiatives.

Keen Independent is a national research firm with expertise in arts and culture, equity and economics. Alex Keen, Keen Independent Principal, is leading the study.

Schedule

The study launched in October 2024 and will be completed by December 2025.
