The Town wished to consider options for transforming this iconic, but underutilized, South Royalston village site into a fully functioning, vibrant
community asset.

‍

The study team identified and evaluated the feasibility of future municipal, for-profit and/or non-profit uses of Whitney Hall taking into account:

  • Community needs and wishes;
  • Potential economic impacts;
  • Building conditions, including needed repairs and updates;
  • Costs; and
  • Funding opportunities.
